Mixing and Matching Bangles for Any Style

Image of Timeless PiecesUndoubtedly one of the most fun jewelry items is the bangle.  Not only is it kind of a fun word to say, but the style possibilities of this relatively simple accessory are virtually endless.

No matter what your personal style, you can find bangles to fit it.  For the most classic look, try out slim bangles in gold or silver (real or faux).  For a little bling, go for more slim styles with diamonds (again, real or faux will work just fine).  If boho is more your style, wooden bangles will complement your look very well.  And if you just want to have some fun and add some color to your look, there are multitudinous plastic versions in every color under the sun to fit your vision.

Image of Thin Silver BanglesWhat makes this accessory unique is that you really can’t overdo it.  (Well, I’m sure you could, but it’s much harder than with other jewelry.)  You can wear three bangles or thirty.  Obviously, if you choose the latter option, you’ll want to go with slimmer versions or mostly slim versions with a few bold pieces mixed in so that you can see some of your arm.  It all depends on your personal style and what bangles you’ve chosen.  Play around with different numbers on your arm to see what feels more comfortable for you and what you think complements your style best.

Image of Mixed Wooden BanglesThe best part of bangles is creating your own look and style by mixing different styles.  Whether it’s mixing different sizes, different colors, different patterns, it’s totally up to you to experiment with.  To help get you started, try mixing a wooden bangle or two with gold bangles.  Try mixing a statement silver bangle that has a bold style with slimmer black plastic designs.

Do you have bangles already? Which ones are your favorite?  How do you mix & match them to show off your style?
